August brings amazing summer camps at Pretty River Academy

Pretty River Academy’s summer camps offer unique experiences at our beautiful campus on the Collingwood Trail system, a beautiful wetland in Collingwood. Space is limited.







Robotics Camp Imagine, discover, create and build using LEGO ® Education kits, including Lego Mindstorms. Together with our hands-on summer staff, your child will bring their own robot to life. Other activities may include supervised basketball, soccer, tag and games outdoors and in the gym. 7-12 years $300 8:30 am – 3:30 pm August 14-18, 2017
Art Lab Join instructor Julia White for fun-filled days of creative imaginations to “think outside the box” and make amazing new things! Students will employ a variety of media, including drawing, painting, sewing, collage, and sculpture using found objects from home and nature. We will get inspired by each other as we make art together! All ages $140 9:30 am – noon August 14-18, 2017
ARTventure Camp Join us this summer for some fun all new craft projects sure to inspire your budding young artist and outdoor adventurer! No experience required, just a love for art! Children will create work in clay, paper mache, drawing, painting, sketching, watercolours, mixed-media and some fun summertime crafts! Each week is different, so children can register for more than one week. Our hands-on program lead by Judi Scarrow teach environmental concepts and foster an appreciation of nature through exploration on the extensive trail system aound our facility at Pretty River Academy. 4 – 10 years $300 (sibling $250) 8:30 am – 3:30 pm August 14-18, 2017
Clown College A week of drama camp is a fantastic outlet for creative minds and personalities! We spend much of the day playing improv and theatre games that quickly translate to ‘how to perform for an audience’. This drama camp will take young actors through the following lessons: creating a script, improv, comedy, intro to clowning, basic stagecraft (blocking, stage vocals, breathing etc), creating a character, and preparing for performance. Drama camp is about having fun while learning the tools needed for performance. More importantly, this environment is committed to support compassion, trust, and believing in yourself. 7-14 years $225 9:00 am – 4 pm August 21-25, 2017
Jump Start for School Camp Get back into a school routine and  get organized with our Jump Start for School Camp!-Grade-level Math and Language instruction
