This year’s Annual December Concert will take place in the gym on Wednesday, December 14th at 6:00 pm.   The December Concert is a special event where the Pretty River Academy community comes together to celebrate the joy and excitement of the holiday season.  The students are excited and look forward to sharing their music with you.  Students should arrive at 5:30 in full dress uniform and report to their homeroom where they will be decorated.  At intermission, the students will go back to their homeroom for goodies and then return to the gym for the second half of the concert.

Students in grade three and up should be practicing in preparation for performances.  Recorder players should practice fifteen minutes every other day, and brass and woodwind players for twenty to forty-five minutes every day.  A consistent time and place to practice and a parent’s encouragement will help a student to develop discipline and to successfully attain goals.

On Wednesday, December 21st at 1:15, there will be an additional concert to showcase more Pretty River Academy student talent.  Parents, relatives and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Traditionally, these students would perform in the December Concert but there is so much Pretty River Academy talent this year that a separate concert was created.  Students currently in private lessons will perform solo instrumental and vocal pieces; there will be a string trio, a flute duet and lots of Christmas spirit to go around.  So mark your calendars; we look forward to sharing our music with you.
